24/7 & emergency support

24/7 WordPress support, with the fine print on the front page.

Short answer: our 24/7 WordPress support means your site is monitored around the clock, and on Care + Secure a genuine emergency (site down, hacked, checkout failing) has a response target of 2 hours in business hours and 4 hours outside them. Non-urgent requests get a reply within one business day.

What "24/7" usually means

Most "24/7 support"
pages don't say what's 24/7.

A chat widget that's always on is not the same as an engineer who can fix your site at 3am. Before you pay for 24/7 WordPress support, it's worth knowing which of these you're actually buying.

Emergency WordPress support

What counts as an emergency,
and what can wait until morning.

Emergency WordPress support is for problems that are costing you customers right now. Everything else is handled properly, just not at 3am.

When it goes wrong at night

What happens in an
out-of-hours emergency.

1Detect

Monitoring usually sees it first

Downtime, an expiring certificate or a malware signature raises an alert, often before you or your customers notice.

2Respond

Contain, then fix

Stop the damage first: restore service, roll back an update or take a compromised site offline safely. Then find the cause.

3Explain

A written account

What happened, what was done and what stops it recurring, in plain English, and logged in your monthly report.

Fewer emergencies

The best 24/7 support is the
emergency that never happens.

Most WordPress emergencies trace back to one of four causes. Maintenance removes them before they become a 3am problem.

Untested updatesUpdates go to a staging copy first, so a bad release is caught before it reaches the live site.
Outdated pluginsKnown vulnerabilities are patched promptly, and abandoned plugins replaced before they're exploited.
No usable backupDaily off-site backups with tested restores turn a disaster into a rollback.
Expiring renewalsSSL and domain expiry dates are watched, so the site doesn't go dark on a renewal date.

If it happens now

Your site is down. What to do
in the first ten minutes.

Whether or not you're a client, these steps make any emergency WordPress support faster and safer.

1 · Check it's not just youTry another device and a mobile connection. A down-checker site tells you if it's down for everyone.
2 · Note what changedAn update, a new plugin, a hosting email, a payment that failed. The last change is usually the cause.
3 · Don't reinstall or deleteReinstalling plugins or restoring old backups in a panic can destroy the evidence needed to fix it properly.
4 · Check your host's status pageIf the host has an outage, the fix is theirs. Knowing saves time.
5 · Screenshot any errorThe exact wording of an error message often points straight at the cause.
6 · Report it with the addressSend the site address and what you've seen through the form, choosing "Something is broken or down".Report a problem →

Questions, answered

24/7 WordPress support:
common questions.

Is your WordPress support really 24/7?

Monitoring is. Uptime, SSL, backups and malware are watched continuously. Emergency response on Care + Secure has a target of 2 hours in business hours and 4 hours outside them, including nights and weekends. Non-urgent requests are answered within one business day rather than at 3am.

What counts as a WordPress emergency?

A site that's down, hacked or defaced, or a WooCommerce checkout that's failing: anything that stops customers reaching or paying you right now. Layout glitches, slow pages and change requests are handled in normal working hours.

How do I report an emergency?

Email or the contact form, choosing "Something is broken or down" with the site address. On a monitored plan, the alert has often reached us before your message does.

Is there a 24/7 live chat or phone line?

No. We'd rather publish an honest response target than promise a chat window staffed by someone who doesn't know your site. Emergencies go to the engineer who maintains it.

Do I need a plan to get emergency WordPress support?

No, but without one there's no response target and nobody watching the site in between. Emergency fixes without a plan are quoted as a fixed fee before any work starts.

What does emergency support cost?

Emergency response is included in Care + Secure. On Care or without a plan, emergency work is quoted as a fixed fee first. The pricing page lists the rates.

Where are you based, and does that affect response times?

In Chennai, India (IST, UTC+5:30). For clients in the US, UK and Europe that often means your night is our working day, which helps rather than hurts. The published targets apply either way.

Will I be told what went wrong?

Yes. Every emergency gets a written account of what happened, what was done and what prevents it recurring, and it's logged in the monthly report.

Do you offer 24/7 support for sites other than WordPress?

Monitoring and emergency response cover the platforms we maintain: WordPress, WooCommerce, Webflow, static HTML and custom-coded sites. This page focuses on WordPress because that's where most emergencies happen.

Why don't you promise a 15-minute response like some providers?

Because a response time only means something if it's met every time, at 3am on a holiday as well as on a Tuesday afternoon. We publish targets we can keep and put them on every page.

Does monitoring cover WooCommerce checkout?

Uptime monitoring confirms the store is reachable. Checkout itself is tested after every update that could affect it, and a failing checkout reported by you or a customer is treated as an emergency on Care + Secure.

What if the problem is my hosting company?

We diagnose it, gather the evidence and chase the host on your behalf, working inside your account. If the host is a repeated cause of outages, you'll get a written recommendation to move.
